Guest guest
I came across a site that had a link to this archived AMA article on Flu vaccines based upon the data from 1980 to 2001. It's interesting, and goes against everything we hear on the news. BTW, did you know that the 36,000 per year death rate the CDC quotes is misleading as well? It lumps flu deaths together with pneumonia deaths and appears to include ALL pneumonia deaths - not just flu related pneumonia*. Also, heads up - Remember the flu shot shortage last year? Well, they produced a lot of the H5N1 flu vaccine AFTER the season was past. Let's see if that's the one they " push " this year. It's difficult to find actual " vaccine " related death statistics - especially JUST flu vaccine related death stats. I'm still searching - and if anyone happens to know this info, please post it. Anna http://archinte.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/abstract/165/3/265 We could not correlate increasing vaccination coverage after 1980 with declining mortality rates in any age group. Because fewer than 10% of all winter deaths were attributable to influenza in any season, we conclude that observational studies substantially overestimate vaccination benefit. Here are the total flu deaths from the report.
