Guest guest
Hey Jerry whats your thoughts on dental sealant's? Are they safe? Do they work? Just a comment here... 3 of my 4 kids who have not been to a dentist for about 2 years due to no insurance - got a check up at school and have NO cavities!! They have NOT used any fluoride during this time - we have well water and use F - Free toothpaste. One of them is a very bad brusher - he really surprised me. The school dentist has suggested the sealants. A team from the University of Leeds have developed tiny spheres of a ceramic material called hydroxyapatite that dentists could use to fill in the holes in teeth that make them sensitive. Jonathan Earl, a member of the research team, said: "We found these tiny spheres are really good at filling the channels in teeth, packing inside them quite evenly and going down the holes to a good depth. "They'd be the perfect shape of particle for filling these channels and reducing or preventing the pain caused by sensitive teeth." Sensitive teeth, or dental hypersensitivity, is a condition that arises when the dentine of the tooth is exposed.
