Shocker on drugs

This is someone's story from my sauna group on his

Adrenal Problems, and then they named it Cushing's.

But this is a shocker, and WHY I absolutely refuse any

drugs. I also read that people with Adrenal Problems

also get dizzy, but if you have pain of the left side

it's related to your liver. It's interesting to be

aware of these things.

Pasted from my sauna group from San:

No, I was diagnosed with Addison's Disease and put on

Cortef and Hydrocortisone. I only took it as needed

for 3 years to the doctors dismay. He spent years

convincing me I needed to take it all the time, but I

knew better. I KNEW I was swinging from high

cortisols to low cortisols. I only took it when I had

lows. Finally he convinced me how " dangerous " this

was (why I'll never know) and I tried to take it all

the time. In 2 days I gained 9 pounds of water

weight... all in my belly and nearly passed out from

lack of air because of the pressure it put on my

lungs. I had horrible chest pain and went off the

meds. It was then that he said I was noncompliant and

I challenged him to retest me. He refused and sent me

to a specialist to " knock some sense into me " . I

promptly told the specialist I think I was

misdiagnosed and wanted to retest. Sure enough, I had

more than 3x the normal amount of cortisol in my body.

Of course he said, your not Addison's... you're

Cushing's. Duh!!! He never answered me when I asked

why I'm high sometimes and low others (as evidenced in

the tests). He sent me back to the referring doc. I

went to the chiropractor, who knows much about this

and am now on a vitamin supplement to support my

adrenals with some raw adrenal glandular. So far

feeling much better, but gotta kick the caffeine

habit.
