Delayed reactions to foods can happen days after a person eats a food. You can ingest a food and not know it, because the food may be used to make a food additive in processed foods that you don't recognize. For example, corn may be used to make MSG. If you are sensitive to corn, your immune system may react to MSG. I have a corn intolerance. I had chronic fatigue since childhood. My doctors could not figure it out. I figured it out after reading a magazine article on Hidden Food Allergies, and talking to an alternative doctor. Corn is in 99% of processed foods in one way or another (High Fructose Corn Syrup, corn starch, MSG, distilled vinegar, xanthan gum, and many other food additives). Once I started eating foods from a health food store, which did not contain corn ingredients, my energy level skyrocketed. My eczema cleared up in a few days, and my hayfever disappeared. Hidden Food Allergies can trigger acne, asthma, psoriasis, ADD, sleep disorders, migraines, depression, and many other health problems. Conventional doctors will say that hidden food allergies don't exist, but ask them if food " sensitivities " can TRIGGER the health problems I spoke about. Please use the words " sensitivities " and " trigger " . That may stump them. There is limited research on food sensitivities and intolerances because the drug industry is afraid they will sell less prescription drugs. You can talk to a naturopathic or alternative doctor about this. You can also read " Dr. Braly's Food Allergy and Nutrition Revolution " , or " Food Allergies and Food Intolerance " by Dr. Jonathan Brostoff. These books will shock you.
