My 30 year old son hurt his foot about 6 weeks ago-went to the hospital and they said he just had a bad sprain. He did all the correct things ice, elevation and staying off it as much as possible. They did not give him a special shoe. He was off work for a few days and went back since it was feeling better (he works in a warehouse) It started to hurt again and he went to a foot specialist and he said it was a sprain and gave him an anti-inflammatory medication. Went back the next week and they reviewed the x-ray and said there was a slight fracture-special shoe. Today he saw the doctor again and they did some other type of scan, and could not get a picture after about 20 scans They asked him if there was any family history of problems of this nature of not getting thur and being able to see clearly-they now say he needs an MRI. He may have not gotten the info clearly. I am very confused about this.

Anyone have knowledge relating to his problem?

Thanks,

Judy

Anti-inflammatory medication only destroys the cartilage and tears up the

stomach too! My suggestion would be to get away from the MD's and go to a Chiro,

Naturpath or go to your nearest NATURAL health food store (ex: Whole Foods)

and talk to someone about your son's foot. If he continues to use the

traditional methods he will be in the " revolving door syndrome " never doing much

of

anything but putting on a band-aid.

thanks for the information. As I write this he is going back to his GP for

other unrelated issues. A Chiro is probably not an option since his

insurance will not pay for it. My concern was the fact that they could not

see " anything " in the cat scan and question him about family history. This

seems way out of the ordinary to me.

Another option is cranial sacral therapy or massage therapy. My

not have to go every month for treatments. It's worth a try.
