Guest guest
The carbon filter is for ozone and perhaps NOX (I'm not sure about the NOX). What I think is very important is removal of micro particulates. Only a HEPA filter will do this reliably. The HEPA needs a prefilter or it will plug far too quickly. As for carbon monoxide a company named Mine Safety Appliance sells respirators with a catalyst. They are helpful with info and you might see what publications they have re CO. The smaller particles are more dangerous than large ones and they travel further as well.
