Guest guest
FDA BLIND TO VIAGRA RISK http://www.consumeraffairs.com/newsletters/0000.html The ever-vigilant Food and Drug Administration knew for more than a year that sex enhancer Viagra had been linked to cases of sudden blindness. That's good, right? Yes, but it would have been better if they'd told the rest of us. "I am troubled by the FDA's action, or lack thereof, relating to the updating of Viagra's product label," said Sen. Charles Grassley in a vigorous letter to FDA Acting Commissioner Lester E. Crawford. Whether anything happens beyond that is another matter. Born in the USA The latest mad cow was a true Texan. After an intensive feedlot round-up, the USDA says it has determined the 12-year-old animal was a native Texan up until it was slaughtered last November for use in pet food. Tissue from the diseased critter did not enter the human food supply, USDA stated. Hint: Note carefully the precise wording of that statement, draw what inference you will and then think again about what your dog is having for dinner.
