Interested in learning about Green Rooftops and Living Walls, and in visiting one of the nicest ones in Toronto?

Come out tomorrow for a tour with Beth Anne Currie, a Toronto based green roof researcher. Beth Anne will provide a short presentation on the merits, costs, benefits of green roofs and then provide a tour of the green roofs on the 401 Richmond building and the Robertson Building at 215 Spadina. A living-breathing wall is another feature of the Robertson building lobby area that will also be part of the tour.

In the works: - Composting and Waste Management (early July)- we will be having Discussion Group get-togethers over the summer andare just picking a new book for discussion - please let Sandi know ifyou have any suggestions for discussion-inspiring books that you would like to spread the word about (sandi_sierra)- a picnic/hiking event is being planned for this summer (e.g. picnic & hike on the bruce trail, picnic & walk on centre island, kayaking/canoeing on lake ontario...). More info to come.
