Metabolic syndrome may increase stroke risk in the elderly

 

The metabolic syndrome - the clustering of a number of conditions,

including high levels of insulin, blood fat, blood pressure, and

diabetes - may significantly increase the risk of stroke in the

elderly, researchers have found.
