Just an added note here:--As it is obvious that the DU that has been used in the past three major US offensives is now contaminating the whole planet---and nobody is likely to tell us about it anytime soon, it may be a good practice to take extra iodine in order to safeguard the thyroid. (it is the first place that radioactivity (in the form of radioactive iodine) attacks)

One excellent natural method is the use of liquid dulse---a few drops everyday. It is not only the source of natural iodine, but many micronutrients and minerals.
