No power left UNABUSED (no appeasement on filibuster)

In the last 24 hours from the Senate we have heard some of the most

reckless and hypocritical demagoguery ever heard in that chamber.

One senator suggested that those who would dare oppose even a single

administration nominee were trying to " kill " and " assassinate "

judges. Another accused those who would defend the rights of the

minority as being like Hitler in possession of Paris. Au contraire,

senator. We know exactly who it is that wants to make our

legislatures and our courts their sole and exclusive property

without recourse or appeal.

HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO TO TAKE EFFECTIVE ACTION NOW:

The latest offer we've heard from the other side is they want

confirmation of 6 of the 7 MOST objectionable nominees. One is too

many, 6 is Neville Chamberlain territory. STILL the polls say

two-thirds of our country reject this unprovoked attack on our

checks and balances. But the only way our Congress is really going

to believe it is if they HEAR FROM YOU now. If you have not

already reaffirmed your support for the filibuster, please do so

while there is still time. Tell them NO COMPROMISE, NO SURRENDER,

NO APPEASEMENT.

Isn't it interesting that the crowd so keen on states' rights is

now trying to federalize everything. Now that they think they are

in a position for a legislative coup d'etat, to seize control of all

all of Washington, the LAST thing they care about are states'

rights. There is only ONE principle for them . . . their own

unchecked power, to be exercised on behalf of a small cabal of rich

corporate campaign contributors. But WE, we the people, still have

the power to speak out, and there are still enough who will listen

if we do so now.

God is the Author of life NOT US!!! Maybe if so many

babies were NOT murdered here in the US appx 4,000 a

day we would NOT have a problem with Social Security

in the future. That is the crux of that problem too

many of us being killed off by the mothers no less.

You're simply spreading hysteria and guilt in the minds of young and manipulable women, by using absurd words like "murder" to describe abortions. Murder is a word that ought to be reserved for the taking, by violent and unlawful means, of fully formed, conscious and intelligent life, after birth. The termination of the life of an embryo has nothing to do with murder, and involves curtailing the life of a rudimentary and not fully formed organism, without sensation or feelings. Nature ends countless lives in the womb, in the same way, when babies are still-born, for a vast array of reasons.

The Courts, when not dominated by right-wing ideological fanatics,.have taken all the complex, humanitarian and social issues into account, and have promoted safe abortion procedures. "All" humane societies thorughtout the world, endorse medically sound and safe abortion practices, precisely with quality of life concerns in mind, for the mother and child.

As for "God," the question of His being the "author" of life, makes a mockery of reason. Tens of millions of people don't believe in god, or believe in a different god than the one you believe in. No one in his right mind believes himself to possess certain knowledge about the origination of life. These are baffling mysteries.

Ann there is SO MUCH I could say but for the sake of

not starting a riot, I will not. I will always

express my opinion though as is my right. I will

never deny my Faith nor my belief. Others may believe

as they choose, as is their right, but I cannot

condone murder. They may not believe in God, but

someday they will get a big surprise.

If the women are THAT manipulable, perhaps they should have had the old remedy explained to them .... "Keep the legs together....", and they would not have the life-long mental anguish of having killed the very life that a woman is designed to help create, nurture, and bring to fruition.

What a dichotomy that one can go against one's very design, and then 'with impunity ...???' go ahead and have children... WITHOUT repurcussions?????

Your response is full of more un-reason. In vitro photos show movement, "not" sensation. These photos can show muscular activity, reactivity to stimulus, and rudimentary facial expressions. None of this has anythiing to do with "feelings."

Keep their legs together? What kind of body-hating morality are you spreading on this list? What women need is safe and effective contraception, not guilt and shame about their bodies.
