Guest guest
Glaucoma and Hypothyroidism A significant link between hypothyroidism and glaucoma has been demonstrated, according to this study in the Opthalmology journal. Now this was in male patients and merely showed an association between hypothyroidism and glaucoma, but it leads credibility to recommending all patients with hypothyroidism keep track of their intra-ocular pressure. It is not known if thyroid replacement therapy can affect the progession of glaucoma. Ophthalmology. 2004 Sep;111(9):1649-52 . _______________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
