There are many Third world countries that had excelllent health care

that exceeds the U.S. one of them is Cuba. Despite the lack of money

many medicines they used are believe it or not, herbal medicines. And

they were quite effective, despite the medical drug sanctions imposed

by the U.S. To me sounds like a good news that the U.S. don't sell

anyone pharmaceutical drugs. The problems is a double whammy. The U.S.

forbids the sales of supplements, vitamins, and herbs.

I am currently a resident here in Bangkok, Thailand. One secret in

this country is that this country has some of the world's best

cosmetic surgery in Thailand. It is so cheap and so popular that a

many (close to a majority actually) of University graduates go get

plastic surgery for their nose, etc. The reason for the popularity is

the price and the results.

Another thing that Thailand is well known for is many hospitals here

have quite modern equipment and the medical cost here are cheap. In

fact if you are a Thai citizen, you can get most medical care for

under - believe it or not - 50 cents! Which is in Thai baht, is about

20 baht. The price here is so cheap and getting all drugs here DO NOT

REQUIRE A PRESCRIPTION! The only controlled substance here in Thailand

are actually addictive substances, such as cocaine, marijuana,

heroine, etc.

Many foreigners now go for Thai hospitals that are accredited with

either an ISO 9001 or ISO 9002 standards. In fact, a majority of

private hospitals do have this standards and still it is 1/10 or 1/20

of the price of the U.S. health care costs and it is quite effective

and modern. This is coming from a man who is ANTI medicine anti

conventional health care! I still will avoid hospitals at all cost,

but I will avoid the U.S. hospitals like the plague.

Here is one secret: autism, ADD/ADHD, etc. is virtually unknown. The

reason is obviously simple. Babies born in Thailand do not require

vaccination. Vaccination is not mandatory but it is optional. If you

tell your doctor you don't want vaccination, it's o.k. They don't

force you.

Here is another secret: Hospitals here in Thailand will not pull the

plug even if you are in a coma for 20 years. You pay the bills they

won't unplug you. Court does not rule whether you die or not. This is

an individual choice. So Schiavo problem would be very much different

here in Thailand. The courts will not bother about these personal

issues and it is left to the families to decide.

All this is coming from a Third world country, Thailand where we never

brag about freedom. It seems true freedom is not what we say, but what

we do.

p.s. Talking about coma, as a side note. Some actually came out of the

coma after 20 years. Tiny amounts of lithium (1 mg/day) may have

something to do with it as lithium accelerates brain cell growth

within a matter of weeks! Many scientists are currently baffled how

brain cells could grow after you are 30 years old. Maybe lithium is

just what we need, but not in the amount recommended for manic

depressives! It take it now and then to remove the uric acid buildup

in my pineal gland as well as increasing nerve growth, to reverse some

antiaging effects.
