Guest guest
you should have been putting rubbing alcohol on it several times a day and turning the earring in the hole. if that is too much sting for you go to claires boutique in your local mall and buy some of the liquid they use for dysinfection. neosporin also works.. hydrogen peroxide is kind of harsh. if your ear is really red and inflamed then it could also be that you are allergic to the metal in the earring you used or even to the solder that attaches the post to the earring. I cant wear anything but gold, silver, or surgical steel. some people are even allergic to silver, and also the solder. your best bet is to get some earrings that are surgical steel. they are fairly cheap compared to gold. ( silver is cheap too but to make sure Id go for the surgical steel) replace the earrings you have in, with the ones guaranteed not to irritate. put neosporin on your ear and even on the post so that it works into the ear.try that for a day or so and see if the redness and hot swelled feeling goes away. if the hot feeling goes away right away chances are good it was an allergic reaction. - ragadugu Monday, March 21, 2005 10:53 AM ear lobe infectioin Hi all - Anyone have ideas about or experience with infection due to ear piercing? Guest guest
Ah, not pierce? But since it IS, how about some colloidal silver on it. Other things you could try are would be a golden seal salve. I used to use a golden seal comfrey salve that worked wonders on infected cuts. If I used it in advance, they didn't get infected. Comfrey isn't supposed to go onto open skin though. All kind of advisories from the fda. I don't know that I believe them and would probably go ahead and use the comfrey root anyways for myself. The lanolin in the comfrey gets the stuff into the skin. And try to take perhaps the oregano oil a few drops under the tongue rather than on the piercing. You didn't say how you were using it. Guest guest
Hello, I am new here and getting to know what the group is about, but I wanted to contribute that I have this problem often, and I either cure it with hydrogen peroxide or tea tree oil. The tea tree oil was the only thing that ever healed it for my girlfriend. Guest guest
I have had that problem when ever they use a stud to pierce my ear. I took the stud out and used cold pressed castor oil applied several times a day. The same thing happened with my youngest daughter. We used raw honey on hers and it worked too. Bacteria cannot grow in honey and honey will dry up the exodate. It is messy but works. Honey has been used for centuries to heal. I used honey to heal a 5 centimeter bedsore on my Grandfather years ago (instructed by a naturapath) and it worked great and has no side effects.dizzi <giacuzio wrote: Hello, I am new here and getting to know what the group is about, but I wanted to contribute that I have this problem often, and I either cure it with hydrogen peroxide or tea tree oil. Guest guest
Take care of your digestive system after the antibiotics are done. Sometimes we can't seem to avoid the things. And then, the cs and the goldenseal and oregano oil, are antibiotics as well. Just a little better for our bodies than the pharmaceutical ones.
