Guest guest
hello all, my first question: i am on lorazepam 1mg, propranolol 20mg 3 times a day for many years. it is for anxiety problems i am having for over 20 years!! i'm starting to get a feeling i'm more addicted to the drugs thanthe actual anxiety. have tried to stop very gradual, but failed due to very uncomfortable withdrawing feelings. i have to tell you i react very strong to changes in mind and body, very sensitive. i also have a big history of alcohol abuse that i'm taking care of. this could have been the sole reason for my anxiety i believe. i eat good, juice eat fruit and veggies, some raw. sport, run, cycle, swim, i can say that i am fit for my 42 years. i'm trying to get off the meds and maybe find a new way of feeling good/better. i'm doing ok, but i'm sure things can be better than this. no smoking, no caffeine, no booze, where should i start.......... i know this is not just one question and a simple answer situation, but maybe you have some pointers to where is a good place to start. any advice, comments are welcome. thanks for listening, rik
Guest guest
First I would recommend you to order free cassette lecture from Doc. the owner of this list. You will know what to do then. Jasmina
Guest guest
Dear Rik, I'm sorry no one responded to you. Probably they were hoping someone else who had something that would be useful to you would. I'm sure if people felt they had something that would be helpful to say they would say it. First of all- contact Dr. Ian Shillington referred to here as " Doc " privately. he wil send you a tape cassette and offer you a complimentary phone consultation. My opinion: I think it's FABULOUS that you are looking for a way to get off the medication and to do whatever it takes to really have full health and wellness. I am a holistic life coach and aromatherapist, also 42, and I stopped using (drugs/alcohol) 18 years ago. Also at work on curing myself of a disease- HepC without drugs. My life and my work are all about having a balanced, fulfilling life- naturally...holistically- not only for myself. You must remember you can't simply treat symptoms or take away a substance...there must be balance and working from the inside- out as well as the outside-in. You also want to set yourself up to WIN ;-) That means support and balance- looking at all of who you are. Congratulations for all you have done...and all you are striving for!! It's POSSIBLE. YES. There is a way....but it will require patience and commitment and lot's of little steps a day at a time. Start with Doc's help. Love, Elizabeth There will always be dreams grander or humbler than your own, but there will never be a dream exactly like your own. Have you or are you going to AA? the reason I ask is that it is a good place to help deal with alcohol abuse and the strong reactions are also from the pas alcohol... (I am married to an ex-al now for 20 years...) I would suggest this even though you have quit... you need a support group. i eat> > good, juice eat fruit and veggies, some raw. sport, run, cycle,> > swim, i can say that i am fit for my 42 years. i'm trying to get> off > > the meds and maybe find a new way of feeling good/better. i'm> doing > > ok, but i'm sure things can be better than this. no smoking, no> > caffeine, no booze, where should i start.....with Doc's tape and a call to him to discuss getting off the meds and.with a total cleansing.....> > > > i know this is not just one question and a simple answer> situation, > > but maybe you have some pointers to where is a good place to> start.> > any advice, comments are welcome. thanks for listening, rik>
