Guest guest Posted September 1, 2003 Report Share Posted September 1, 2003 Adelle Davis says that the major symptom of Vit. E overdose is 'chapped' lips that won't heal. My experience and my mother's is that she is correct. It may take a couple of weeks of not taking any before the lips will clear up. After they completely heal we both resumed taking the E at a reduced dosage. Mom was taking 2000 units per day for a long time before she got symptoms.
