Guest guest
I like essential oils for pain, inflammation and healing...A LOT!! I am an aromatherapist so this is where I usually look for relief from this kind of thing. Some people like homeopathy, etc. For pain that is not subtle I like to use something that produces immediate relief. That means essential oils to me. A good salve or massage oil would be great- I'd probably make a blend (oil base or a salve) w/ Eucalyptus globulus, Lavender angustifolia, and Marjoram and Chamomile, roman. Or Lavender, Rosemary, Peppermint, Juniper, in a base of some infused herbs like St. John's wort, calendula, and arnica. If her pain is worse at night a soothing, stress reliving bath would be great to help her relax! Try a few drops (up to 10 in a full bath) of Lavender, angustifolia mixed w/ 1 cup of epsom salts. I'd use some Birch or Wintergreen essential oil too- only the highest purest quality for short periods of time for great discomfort not helped by these other blends. Helichrysum or Chamomile, roman help with inflammation and healing- Heli is expensive and although well worth it Chamomile is a good substitute. There is new research now on Geranium eo for pain that is also impressive...I am using it more for this purpose. If she's not taking MSM, I'd suggest she start yesterday ;-)- also a good chiropractor may help. Fresh raw fruits especially lots of raw pineapple. Also good ol apple cider vinegar and maple syrup, (or honey , agave, or molasses)...2 tblsp each in a glass of water 1-2 x day ....w/ a bit of cayenne added for good measure ;-) Hope she feel's better soon!! I would like to find some ways to help her with the pain and with healing the problem, especially since she has to return to work even though the problem isn't solved. I tried to search the archives but did not see quite what I was looking for. Can you offer some suggestions? Thanks much,CheriB
