Guest guest
Fist I want to put my two cents in,guys and gals. I considered myself pretty healthy before I started this cleanse. I have never smoked, don't like the taste of alcohol (and that is a whole other problem with the tinctures, believe me) and have never had a cup of coffee (too bitter for my taste). I was raised on a farm and my mother was a "health food fanatic" as she used to be called by the neighbors. I even packed my lunch to school because she was so afraid we'd be contaminated by junk food. I could go on and on, but... I started this cleanse for me - not anyone else, just me. I seem to have put on weight with the birth of each child (7, need I remind you) and sailed through each pregnancy using herbs and vitamins for the morning sickness and drinking gallons of red raspberry leaf tea (my longest labor was 45 minutes from first pain to delivery) to black cohosh tea for post-pregnancy. but all the diets I tried and all the exercising I was doing was not taking off the weight. I knew something was wrong and when I heard Doc's tape I had my own epiphany - stoppage. So I started this cleanse and have been posting both the good and the stinky parts of it for everyone to see ( and thanks Doc for your support and Tyrie for your encouragement) as well as the humorous and the not-so-humorous. I would have been glad if this had lasted a weekend or a week or three, but I was committed (or should have been comitted LOL) to seeing this through. Has it been tough? You betcha! But not as tough as I expected. I am a single mom and the sole support of my family. I couldn't take a week off for Hell Week and lose the wages. But I am almost through it and getting ready to sail into Week 4. And I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. After this week, week 4 looks like a breeze. and if this first cleanse doesn't do the trick with the stoppages, I have already scheduled on my calendar to do another one in a few months. I too, am on a limited budget. I would have liked to go buy everything I needed at once. But I couldn't afford it (although my boys still haven't asked where the meat is - I'm hoping to continue on and pray they never want to see meat again LOL), so I budgetted the hell out of my paychecks and made all my own concoctions using Doc's recipes. If I can do it, so can anyone else. That said, onto these last two days of Week 3 - days 5 and 6. How nieve I was to think that Epsom salts would actually taste salty! And I've become inordinately interested in the toilet - it seems like I'm 4 again. Took me awhile to realize I'll never see parasites - I forgot my high school science lessons! I know Doc talks on the tape about how good TN is, but I hated it at first. Now that I've done the oil/juice/garlic/ginger drink, I actually look forward to the TN just to get the taste of the flush out of my mouth. PP I can handle - that doesn't bother me. But I really don't like the Potassium stuff - I've never liked beets. and I am still struggling with cayenne, never mind habeneros! Still, for my first cleanse, I've managed to stay on it pretty good. But I still have one question. For all the oil I am drinking, how come I never see oily bowel movements? (Sorry, my interest in the toilet again.) I figured that much oil alone would clean me out, but I can't figure why it all doesn't just go right through me. The tomatoes in my salad did. Anyway, I'll continue to post for all who are interested and for those out there getting ready to try it, may God bless. Sheila
Guest guest
Dear Sheila, You rock girl LOL. To answer your question: Many toxins and drug residues (not all) are stored in the fat cells of your body as a protective mechanism. When you take oils like UDO's or Organic Olive Oil, there is a fat exchange that occurs, and when you are doing this in the middle of a cleanse, the fat cells that contain the toxins now feel free to let go and be excreted from your body. The new fat cells in your body that are now non-toxic and are healthy can be utilized by your body for the purpose they were designed for - namely energy. With a good exercise program, you will now lose weight naturally, and keep it off as long as your metabolism is beefed up and now operating efficiently. The TN beefs up metab. In this neck of the woods in the winter time, about the only exercises one gets is fornicating and computer typing. Needless to say these are not enough to keep the weight down if one is not eating a high protein / high fat meal, and even then the cold weather seems to demand the body store more fat. I'm 6'1" and in my prime weigh (middle of summer) about 171 lbs. I can gain 30 lbs over the winter months (over 200) and drop it all during the summer just because of the exercise without changing my diet one iota. At my age (57), most medicos will tell you this is impossible. ;o) The key here is that the fat on my body is "clean" fat and does what it is supposed to do. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Absolutely not. I have not been able to find any substitute for UDO's. It is the perfect blend, and richest Plant Source of Omega 3, 6, & 9 essential fatty acids that I could find. Nothing even comes close to it as far as "quality" is concerned. Olive Oil is the best for stimulating Liver, Gallbladder and Pancreas secretions. Doc, Is organic olive oil a suitable substititute for UDOs? UDOs are pretty expensive and I was hoping for an alternative. Blessed Be!
