No, you've got it hon.

Sprout 'em first and then throw 'em in the pot with the rest of your mixture and cook 'em up together.

[herbal remedies] Bean question

Hi Everyone

I have a question about beans. I love to cook and eat them. If I buy beans like pinto or a mix of beans to put in a soup can I sprout them and then put them into the soup or just cook them once they have begun to sprout? Or am I missing the boat completely?

8 hours should just about cover any bean.

Remember that certain veggies take longer to cook than others, and beans fall into this category. If you're making stew, it wouldn't matter, but if you're making soup, you might want to start your beans earlier, and add your softer veggies afterwards.

Play with it ;o)

Love,

Doc

It's my understanding that you don't soak them until you see the sprouts though, right? Just soaking them for 6-8 hours will start the process. Or am I way off here?

Blessed Be!
