Guest guest
you can actually buy stevia in the powdered form but just want to make sure that it is 100% as some are mixed with additives--which you don't want. even so you have to experiment when using it...a little stevia goes a long way and there is a fine line b/n not sweet enough and adding too much stevia that will give you a bitter after taste. i find that often the suggested conversions of sugar to stevia are not quite right and i have better results just taste-testing what i'm making. luv laura herbal remedies , " Bridge " <bbaas@s...> wrote: > > I never bought the packaged stevia but I use the liquid form and it doesn't > taste bad at all. Guest guest
The powder is an extract. Get certified organic leaf and just add a little to your tea blends and such. You can make a strong infusion and use the liquid in all kinds of things too. It is very sweet and a little goes a long way. I have never had an aftertaste from the leaf form. I bought some packets of stevia at the health food store and was totally floored when I got home and read that it had silicon and some other thing (that sounded alot like a chemical) in the ingredients list. It tasted worse than sacharin. Is the liquid like this too? Is the herb bitter as well? I would love to use the stuff, but the taste is so horrible. Okay, maybe that was a couple of questions.
