Hi All!

I have recently quit smoking as step one to a healthier life style. the problem being that now I am finding I am eating everything in sight (healthy or not) as a substitute. I know that quitting smomking should make me feel better about myself, but right now I just feel like crap. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to ease the problems associated with quitting smoking, or to encourage weight loss (more so not to gain any weight). I have Lobelia Tincture as I know it is supposed to help alleviate the cravings, but it tastes terrible. Anyway, thanks for listening.

If you don't mind the taste of black licorice, I would recommend buying some licorice sticks from your health food store. I'm not takling about the candy, either. They look like wood and you can find them in the herbs section. Keep these around to chew on when you feel the need to eat something. Works great.

If that doesn't work www/hannasherbshop.net

I have no affliation whatsoever with this shop. I

just like the products and price.

Hannas Herb Shop has a great homeopathic item for

quitting. Very resaonable price too. FYI....

In the early '50's, Hanna moved her family to the

States and settled in Boulder, Colorado. It was the

early days of the herbal renaissance, and she felt

like this was an energetic place to start one of the

first health-food stores. From her small shop Hanna

showed a mastery of the subtle, unique properties of

European and American herbs.

Today, the Kroeger name stands for the highest

standards in herbal formulas and homeopathic remedies.

Calamus tea too. Forget if it is a root or not. An

odd herb that you would probably have to order.

Dear Melissa,

I know it tastes like the dickens, but Lobelia is excellent for quitting.

My own formula for quitting smoking is a tincture made from equal parts of Lobelia and Mullein in a 50-50 Alcohol / ACV base.

Everytime you feel like a smoke, take a dropperful. Everytime you feel like snacking, take a dropperful.

It does help ;o)

Love,
