Cleanse, Week 3, Days 2-5, Hell Week

Now I know why Doc says this is hell week, look at what I just did - sent an empty email! LOL

I also know it's Hell Week because I'm up to day five and hanging on by my langerhands!

So far I've been doing okay. But today, the wierd looks that I've been getting at work this week are escalating - and I didn't realize why until about 6:00 this evening.

I mean, I've noticed that I taste garlic all morning and today I noticed that my bowel movements smell like garlic, even my gas smells like garlic. My boss has been really good natured about this week - but then, he's been out of the office most of the time.

Tonight, however, when I went to work out I finally noticed that all of my cohorts at the gym were giving me the evil eye. that's when it hit me. Not only is my sweat smelling like garlic, but after I showered (yes, hot and then cold several times), my skin still smells like garlic. I don't even think the deodorizer I use can handle the scent! My kids are threatening to leave home (actually, that might not be so bad I'd get some quiet time), and tonight I caught one of them eating garlic cloves - in self defense, he says!

All I gotta say, Doc, if this ain't working, I don't care. At least the flies and mosquitoes leave me alone when I'm outside.

Dear Sheila,

Whatever you do, don't send your kids in my direction as I have my own to handle ROTFL ;o)

You will notice as time goes by that you will have less and less of the garlic stink. I have a friend who eats garlic by the truck load and never puts out that odor. My observation on it is that the garlic helps to remove toxins from the body, and that garlic + toxin = stink. Once the toxins are gone, so is the aroma. You can be our list guinea pig on this theory LOL. Keep us posted.

Just make sure you're doing all the other lifestyle changes with the exercise, and the organic foods, etc.

You're a trooper and will come through OK ;o)
