Guest guest
Dear Lynn, I'm sorry to have to tell you this hon, but you need to make the time. As Gandalf told Frodo in LOR, "Shortcuts make long delays", and this is true in natural healing. If you make sure you go to the bathroom at least two times before you leave for work, you should make it with no problems. Just make sure you have a backup plan for a stop along the way if you have to. If you only put 80% into this program, you may not even get 80% out of it though it is possible. Rather than trying to find the "easy" way out here, you would be best served if you try to make it go right regardless. Natural Healing takes work, and one of the problems in society at this time is that most everyone is looking for that "Super-Duper-Fix-It-All-One-Shot-Cure", and I can tell you from experience that it ain'ta gonna happen. You need to "make" the time hon. After all, you're worth it. Aren't you? ) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Lynn herbal remedies Tuesday, August 19, 2003 1:46 PM [herbal remedies] Alternative cleanse? Guest guest
Sorry Anna, but I disagree. It might also seem nice if there was a "magic" pill that could just evaporate all of our problems as well, but there ain't. My take on it is, that all the really good things in life are worth "working" for ) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Anna herbal remedies Tuesday, August 19, 2003 3:46 PM Re: [herbal remedies] Alternative cleanse? Guest guest
I really could not agree more with what doc says here...and really along the same lines think of it as a change in your life not just a temporary fix. Also, since you must choose your time to do the 2 week cleanse you are both referring to...if this is not the time STILL make the choice to eat begin to cleanse your body. Use a dry skin brush 2 x daily- I can not say enough about this simple routine....make it as natural as brushing your teeth. I always ay the place to begin to CREATE ANYTHING AT ALL is first by eliminating EVERYTHING that is NOT what you are creating....like clearing the space of clutter. In this case your body is the space. Eliminate all processed foods...coffee, sugar, chemicals, dairy- unless fresh organic raw, all non organic meat, etc. Go through your medicine cabinet and get rid of everything but your toothbrush! Don't put toxic chemicals IN or ON you body and hair- no petro chemicals and SLS. If you do this...you will be starting to cleanse!! Start your day with water w/ fresh squeezed lemon juice and a dash of cayenne- a little maple syrup is fine too.. Eat fruit for breakfast.....eat raw fruits and vegetables with each meal. Drink 3x the amount of water you are drinking now... Choose on a day to eat only one fruit- grapes, or watermelon, pineapple, or apples are good. Go on a mono diet of one fruit each day for the weekend...if that's all the time you choose. To REALLY GET BENEATH ALL THE LAYERS.....YOU MUST TAKE THE TIME to do it...and to have the discomfort associated with it before the benefit...BUT making all these changes now will mean MUCH LESS discomfort/ withdrawl. Eliminate the crappy stuff now...that IS the start of cleansing. Choose the long cleanse...when you choose...make it great. Cleansing and fasting is NOT deprivation...it is LOVE! Be present to hat you are putting into your body and into your life...EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED....;-) get some exercise daily.....breathe. Get rid of all TOXIC relationships... Notice the thoughts you have that disempower you...and notice you have a choice to consciously your thoughts and belief...one that FEED you...ones that POISON you. THIS IS ALL CLEANSING- IT ALL COUNTS! Whenever I cleanse I always take some time to CLEAN HOUSE....clear out the nooks and cranies...a storage area...wash the kitchen floor on my hands and knees...happily! Get rid of all your toxic cleaners! Make simple effective and fresh smelling products yourself! Cleanse that space under the sink....throw out the toxins... Donate or share with someone EVERYTHING in your closet that makes you feel " less than " ...anything that is no longer a " fit " for who you are and who you are becoming... Better to have a few great outfits that feel great than 100 that feel like a dead weight. Eat FRUIT! Fruit is happy stuff!! I always am in awe wen I eat a good piece of ripe juicy colorful fruit...mmmm.....life is so sensuous and alive~! There are no magic pills to get us " there " ...good thing!!! Being here is so much better....keep choosing in each and every moment who you are becoming and what you are letting go of...and ALWAYS follow through with actions that make it real! Guest guest
Ohhhhh, I know what year it is, but I also know at least a dozen people who made it go right to take the entire 4 week cleanse with them to work, including Hell week = Week 3. They were busy little bees, but they just decided to do it, and they did. Doing an intense cleanse such as this is sometimes not easy even when you have plenty of time on your hands. But it is worth it, and so are you ;o) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Lynn herbal remedies Tuesday, August 19, 2003 7:03 PM Re: [herbal remedies] Alternative cleanse? Guest guest
This is how our bodies got into the shape it's in now...society has demanded the convenience of quickie junk...and most everybody goes along with it in order to have time to make that all mighty buck. Don't get me wrong, I like paying my bills as well as the next... But, it didn't get that way over night...and it just ain't gonna get well in a weekend. That's like being overweight for 28 years and expecting to diet for two months and the fat be gone and never come back, but go back to eating the same things as I was before. Alternative? That just hit me...this IS the alternative. The alternative to thousands in doctor bills. The alternative to being toxic, genetically modified, unidentifiable barely surviving organisms running around. No wonder antibiotics and other medical technology don't work these days...it hasn't evolved enough to treat what they call humans anymore.;-) I'm just trying to make light of a touchy subject, but really there's alot of truth in all this. Guest guest
I just want to make a quick comment here. On Doc's tape, he says that if you switch to an entirely organic diet that over time your body will cleanse. The total body cleanse IS the shortcut method. Blessed Be! Guest guest
LOL....so your assumption is that my current diet is not correct? Au contraire, I do eat properly. I do know that you attract what you think. I recycle my clothing. I am an aberration in a normal society who think nothing of eating fast food, microwaving all their food. It will have to be a gradual addition of the tonics. I already consume TN and TT. Guest guest
I am a single mom w/ 2 home businesses....BUSY!! I just wake up early if needed to spend more time in the bathroom...it all works...regardless of circumstances...I have been doing cleanses for 15 yrs...used to work in film biz on sets day and night- long hours hugh pressure...I always found a way to make my circumstances support my needs. It's only *hard* when the reasons not to change are not big enough. I'd just look to see for yourself what the benefit you are going to have is big enough/worth it. Guest guest
Dear Helen, As I said in an earlier post, you can forego the cleansing if you are willing to make ALL of the necessary lifestyle changes in diet and exercise, etc. It's just that cleansing will cut the time frame down to a couple of months instead of a couple of years. You can attain a state of good health much quicker with cleansing. The choice is yours. I am in the same boat, Lynn. Have not had a way of fitting a colon cleanse in my schedule. If I missed 3 weeks of work for this, I would be looking for another job and with a large family could not afford that. It is one of the things I just have to leave out and hope I can make up for it in some other way. Any condition can be changed, as long as it is preceded by the decision, followed by the actions to do so. ;o) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Elizabeth herbal remedies Wednesday, August 20, 2003 9:28 AM Re: [herbal remedies] Alternative cleanse?
