Welcome Stacia.

There are cleanses in the HR files under Dr. Ian Shillington. a complete body cleanse would be in order... also search the message files for 5HTP, or panic, anxiety, depression... any of these words.. we have had past discussions on this. Total nutrition would also be very good for you.

Hi, I just found this list and am so glad I did. I have been interested in herbal healing for years but haven't done enough studying or practicing to be well informed. I have been taking St. John's Wart for about 5 years for depression and it has worked very well. I also suffer from panic and anxiety and about 2 months ago began taking 5 HTP for it. I used it for 3 weeks and my depression came back and I was more anxious. I stopped using it and about a week later I still felt worse and I took Kava Kava, which effected me worse than the 5HTP. I only took it 3 times, then read of how badly it can effect some people, so I stopped and went to the doctor. He put me on Zoloft and Xanax. I only took the Zoloft for 5 days because it made me more anxious and I just stopped the Xanax yesterday because I'm worried about how it's effecting me. I

only took the Xanax for about 2 weeks, and it was the lowest dose so I don't think I should have withdrawls. After trying these medications I feel worse than ever. My anxiety has increased, I have tension headaches, I'm having trouble sleeping, and I've developed a bladder infection. So, I'm seeking advice for a couple of things. 1. Does anyone know of an herb or herbal remedy which helps with panic/anxiety disorders? I heard Inositol works in large doses, although it's a B vitamin I was curious if anyone knows of it? 2. What's a good cleansing remedy to rid my body of all these toxins and help it to heal? All advice will be appreciated.

Hi Stacia,

I do know someone who has done research on it. With your permission I

could forward him your email without any private information and get his

response. Let me know.

In general, I like to take an inside/out approach to health beginning

with cleansing before addressing isolated symptoms. I believe we are

very interconnected and can not treat one area without considering the

whole person- multidimensional.

I would never suggest someone go off a prescribed medicine to

cleanse...so please check with your Dr first to determine a safe method

to pursue a natural approach.

Some aromatherapy recipes for tension headaches:

Blend equal amounts of:

10 Lavender (true),

10 Chamomile, roman (only)

10 Geranium

Add to 1 ounce carrier oil

or:

20 Lavender and

10 Peppermint

Add to 1 ounce carrier oil.

(a touch of basil added may also help...)

For anxiety/stress:

A wonderfully relaxing bath- Mix I cup epsom salts ( or a little carrier

oil) w/ 4 drops Lavender, 2 drops Ylang-ylang, 2 drops Clary Sage, 2

drops Bergamot. Use only pure organic or wild grown tested steam

distilled essential oils.

Lavender, Clary Sage, Sweet Orange and Marjoram essential oils diffused,

misted, or inhaled are very soothing and relaxing.

Basil eo alone is wonderfully cheering.

Lemon balm and chamomile (herbs) is a nice tea w/ a little honey.

Shiatsu or Acupuncture are wonderfully balancing too. I also like flower

essences for emotional issues...Rescue Remedy is a good place to start.

Anyway...WELCOME. I have also just arrived. I plan to read through the

archives and files as soon as I have some time.

I'm an aromatherapist and life coach, single mom to a fantastic 4 yr

old, and am at work on curing myself of HepC w/ herbs etc naturally.
