Guest guest
You can also try what is known as " The Indian Ginseng " The latin name of the Herb is " Withania Somnifera " Popularly known as " Ashwaghanda " in Ayurvedic medicine, this herb helps alleviate anemia, is a popular antibiotic for the body and a tonic for the immune system. Recomended Daily dosage is one teaspoonful with a glass of warm milk. Make sure you dont skip the warm milk, as this medicine increases the " Agni (fire) " in the body. If you skip the milk, possible side effects are acidity, sweating, pimples, boils, ulcers, rash, and other side effects commonly associated with eating too much spicy food. Another medicine which is highly recomended in Ayurveda for boosting the immune system is known as " Chyawanprash " . This medicine is easily available in Indian areas. A word of advise, dont try taking both of the above medicine, try one or the other, beacause both together will increase the " Agni(fire) " in your body. (and is okay while breastfeeding) Panther Piss would be good for your anemia. Suzi Karen <sdchildbirth wrote: Hi, I am new here and have searched the files to see if I can find some help, please tell me if there is somewhere specific I should look for my answers. I recently completed a miscarriage. It took three weeks to expell all of the tissue. In the meantime I became anemic, and developed an infection in my uterus. I also suspect a sinus infection or at least bad cold. I saw a naturopath who treated the anemia, fever, and uterine infection. I am feeling so much better now, all the placemtal tissue is gone, fever is gone, my energy is back, no more headrushes, etc. I still have some sinus drainage. We intend to try to conceive again in a few months, but I am concerned about my immunities being low and want to get my body back on track soon. Are there any suggestions for what I should take, do, eat, etc? I was taking floradix (an iron supplement), immune defense tonic (from herbpharm with ecinacea, wild indigo, thuja?, angelica), angelica, pulsatilla, aconitum, goldenseal, calendula, rose hips, prenatal vitamin (niferex). I am now taking prenatal, rose hips, a pill iron supplement, nettle, kelp, red raspberry leaf tea. I am also breastfeeding a toddler.
