Guest guest
Hi all, My mom has had Positional Vertigo for a few years. Of course, the modern medical community can do nothing. They told her she has crystals in her inner ear. She eats lots of farm fresh veggies and fruit, no milk, lots of clean water, lean chicken and fresh eggs. The most recent illness she had was Shingles with post herpatic neuralgia. My dad died very suddenly 2 years ago and I think the grief brought her immunce system down and caused the shingles. I am not sure the ear oil would penetrate far enough to clear whatever is disturbing the balance. Janet
Guest guest
Hi Janet, Not sure if I had the same, but just over a year ago I woke up one morning with the room spinning around so fast that I fell out of bed when trying to sit up. I had to crawl my way downstairs to the phone to call my husband who'd already gone to work. He had to come home to help me with my son Jamie, as I couldn't stand up at all - everything was spinning. A visit to the GP didn't help - they didn't know what the problem was, but gave me some pills to take. These pills had warnings on them, so I didn't take them. Then I was told that the hospital wouldn't investigate because I hadn't taken the pills! I then contacted Doc. He asked me some questions, and thought then that I was getting pre-menopause symptoms. And that I suffered from an iron-deficiency which was causing the vertigo! So, DragonSnot was prescribed, as well Panther Piss. Slowly my vertigo got better, until about 3 months later it was all gone. It came back about 6 months later, so we refined it even more to include Cayenne tincture in my daily routine. Also I had to get off the sugar. About 2 months or so ago it came back again, but not so bad this time. I had reduced my PP to one tbs a day and didn't always take the DragonSnot for breakfast. So I upped it again first to 3 tbs per day and took the DragonSnot every day, and the vertigo disappeared within days. Now I'm on 2 tbs PP per day, and will keep it at that. BTW, I noticed that the vertigo came back this time right after my period - which is a time that iron loss occurs with the bleeding. Also, as the vertigo only appeared when my head went down on the left side, not the right, indicated to Doc it might also have something to do with my heart - therefore the cayenne tincture. Hope this helps? love, Lisa - Dragonhealer herbal remedies Sunday, August 03, 2003 12:37 AM [herbal remedies] RE: Positional Vertigo Hi all, My mom has had Positional Vertigo for a few years. Guest guest
Positional Vertigo is when the person is dizzier in a certain position. She cannot lay down without going into a spin, so she has been sleeping in a reclined position. The good news is, I am taking the kids down to see her. When I get there I can make some more informed decisions on what to treat her with. I don't think it bothers her all the time, she'll make a statement like, "Oh, yesterday was bad, this vertigo was acting up again..." She probably won't do anything I ask her to, but...it wouldn't hurt to know about it...that's the reason I ask... I hope your mom can find some relief. Guest guest
My dad had this problem once and his dr. told him that there are these fine, tiny "rocks" for lack of a better word, that are on the tips of these super fine hairs in your inner ears...and when one of the "rocks" get damaged or fall off or something...you get unbalanced. The way he was treated was to be sitting up,and then go all the way over to one side until he was dizzy, and then stay there until it passed...and somehow it "re-balances" itself. I don't know anything else about this at all,but thought I would mention it here since it worked great for him!
