Salutations all,

I've been in and out of lurk mode on here for the last 3 years or so, and now

that I'm finally making my own money and out of college, I'm getting to choose

how to take care of my health. I've been on a vegan diet for a little while,

and intend to start a total body cleanse in about a month to try and undo years

of college food, and tasty but not necessarily healthy family cooking and quick

meals with friends.

Now the questions.

Firstly, years ago I started having some *ahem* feminine problems, such as far

too irregular periods (try anywhere from 2 weeks apart to 8 months) and over

abundant body hair. I was diagnosed by an endocrinologist as having an adrenal

enzyme deficiency, resulting in elevated testosterone levels, which they tried

to reset using the pill. Well, when I started getting migraines within about a

month of starting that, they pulled me off, sent me to the neurologist, who said

I was just peachy, and the endocrinologist kinda threw up her hands after

sending me in for a sonogram which showed no internal problems. I got tired of

having blood drawn weekly without being told why, and stopped seeing her. I've

kinda just been putting up with the problem since then. My guess is that I

should probably get along with doing the cleanse and starting the total

nutrition, and also taking the female formula described in the files. Should I

make that as a tea? tincture? Does anybody have

any other suggestions?

Secondly. When I was about 12 (I'm almost 23 now) I had these blotches show

up on my skin. My family doctor diagnosed it as eczema. He gave me a cream.

It didn't work. It didn't work the secnod time either when he told me it was a

prescription for a different drug. When I was 20 I went to the dermatologist at

school (who I was sent to by the endocrinologist). She prescribed a cream.

When she told me not to use it too often, as it worked by eating away at your

skin, I decided to say thank you and promptly not fill the prescription. That

Christmas, I made homemade eggnog. The whole nine yards. A dozen eggs, a pound

of sugar, half a gallon of heavy cream, and 8 cups of...rum I do believe. The

eczema got so bad in some spots that it cracked and started bleeding. That was

when I started doing some research into causes other than " it just happens,

you'll grow out of it. " I found that it can be an allergic reaction, caused

often by dairy, or an over sensitivity to s

odium lauryl or laureth sulfate, the stuff that makes soap bubble. I cut out

dairy, and meat for good measure, and switched body products and almost

eliminated the problem, but I've found that it hasn't completely disappeared.

Does anybody have recommendations? Searching the archives is a bit difficult on

this one as everybody seems to spell eczema differently.

Sorry to be so long winded, I get my story telling tendencies from my Dad, he's

worse than I am.

Thanks everybody for the years of experience you offer up on here. Its

astounding.

Take care,

Jenny G.

Dear Jenny,

Welcome back outa lurk mode.

I think I remember you as "The Glitterbunny" ??? ;o)

A Total Body Cleanse is definitely in order and if you haven't listened to my free cassette lecture yet, then this is the place to start.

Right now, my immediate take on it without further questioning of you is that you have three things that are going on simultaneously.

Problems with the:

1. Liver,

2. Kidneys

3. And Hormones.

As I said, that's just a short take without having all your data.

Love,

Doc
