As long as tyou make sure you dont get deficient. Vit B-12 is found in meats, you need a good source of this elsewhere as I *believe* this is the harder vitamin to get out of non-meat related foods. Without it after a few years...well, it's not a good thing. When reading in my nutritional bok a woman was a strict vegetarian and had twins. Anyway, one twin started having serious developmental problems at about a year. He started sleepinga ll the time, lack of energy, not wanting to eat, just developing early. The other twin was fine. It went on adn on, they couldnt figure out what was wrong. When he was older he just wouldnt move. They had to keep him in the hosptial for over a month!!! It was from a B vit deficiency. The mother in her ignorance with giving him no sources of it had never fed him any at all since birth. The other twin had been getting meat because his grandma snuck it to him lol. I can let you know the book name or more details if youd like, I cant remember the name of the book offhand I have like 40 plus lol. Anyway make srure you get the meat sources.

Personally I think limited meat is fine, and I think we were meant to have meat. I hope this nausea passes soon!!! How pregnant are you now?

Erin,

I haven't eaten meat in a loooong time, excepting the very occasional chicken.

TN is an excellent source of all nutrients - Doc said you could even survive on it and nothing else. So I shouldn't worry if taking that. When I take TN in the morning, I'm not even hungry until night time! That's how good it is in providing all you need.

love,

Lisa

I second the nutritional yeast recommendation. I'm mostly vegetarian and I

take a cup of orange or unfiltered grape juice and add nutritional yeast,

powdered vitamin C and lecithin. Mix it all up and chug it all down. The

yeast is super high in B vitamins and you know that by your urine. B

vitamins turn urin dark or bright yellow (not sure of color description :) I

can eat the yeast by itself if I choose but it tends to cling to my teeth

and takes awhile for my tongue to unlodge it all.

Angel, hon...

You brought up a very good point. Take a look around at many of the

young girls now. They all seem to have this mini-tire around their

bellies. And since the styles of clothes accentuate that right now

it is clear to see that young people's bodies have evolved into a way

different shape than they were when I was a young girl. None of us

had that kind of gut because we were always outside playing. We

didn't have cable TV, we didn't have computers, and we didn't have

Nintendo. I really fear for the generations to come who are so

lethargic in their daily lives. We try and get our kids out and

active as much as we can even though they love the computer.

this could be a sadistic, self-inflicted form of evolution? One we

may regret down the line? I know this is kind of off the wall deep

for me, but think about it...there's no telling what we may evolve

into with all the hormones, antibiotics, and genetic modifications

that people with " good intentions " will cause.

be harmless. But, give it to a plant and watch what happens.
