I'm going to try again cause I didn't see a response yet, may have missed

it.

What would be a good substitute for clorine in the swimming pool?

Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following:

3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physician

and to prescribe for your own health.

This is a page on a gadget that uses salt and coverts it into a chlorinated

form, I didn't read very deep into it but it appears there are many options

you just need to do some reading:

Baking Soda is used to raise the Total Alkalinity of the pool

water.

You could try the Nature2 sanitizer. It uses minerals to sanitize

the pool, but doesn't state what they use. I plan to try it in my

spa. You will still have to " shock " the pool occasionally with

chlorine when it gets cloudy. Chlorine is a strong oxidizer and is

needed to " burn up " all of the dissolved organics in the

water.

I would think better might be 35% hydrogen peroxide. Less toxic than chlorine. This will definitely shock the pool.
