Hi everybody

Coming out of lurked in Germany which i am i watched a

Bauerfrau milk the Cow`s by Hands, after she was

finished she strained the Milk thrue the sieve which

had a like Coffee Filter in it.

My Job as a Child was to pick up 2 Liter`s every Day.

O yes we simmer the Milk till a thick skin was on Top

and i so miss that have not had any for 22 Year`s.

Sounds very good, having had the same nearly all of my childhood. Those

were the Good Ol Days, huh?? Now industrialization and Government has

ruined it for the " Little Guy " ...Hopefully one day we will see a revival

of the small dairy farmer...And the wholesomeness we once took for

granted..Thanks for sharing, Gaye

yes, that's the way we did it in the 1960's in Texas. only we called

the simmer " pasturizing. " and was done in a special stainless steel

" pasturizer. " That was good milk and did not mess my intestines up

like current commercial milk does. at least not as bad. did make

mucous but not as bad.....
