I breast fed my daughter for an extensive period of time. I was well trained and knew what mastitis is. I also have rasied and milked my own personal dairy goat. Every mother knows that her child needs a clean breast with sweet smelling milk. When your desire for profit out weighs you conscience, or when you are using mechanial means of milk gathering... when your workers are not trained to see the benefit of having hte best in mind for the cow, the calf, the milk drinker and the planet, what can you expect? I have driven by many a dairy farm and cringed at the smell. I have seen the dead cows dragged out by tractor. I have seen when they decide that the milk is to "sick" to use and heard my boss urging me to put a cow I KNEW was still to sick back into "Production." I am not saying that all milk is the same, but I do suggest that oyu go check out the site more carefully and do some research before you turn your nose up at the findings. I quit the milk business for reasons of personal standards. And I worked at quite a few before I quit (in three states.) http://www.notmilk.com/pusmilk.html While I know that there is a general move away from soy here in this list because of the commerical soybeans having HMO and not being organic, I's rather use the beans that I found at a small family farm where they been farming since 1883 (and it was "Virgin" before that.) They certify that they are NON HMO and not Processed in machines that have processed HMO stuff and they don't use chemicals... for the little "milk" that I need. And I produce it myself at home so I don't have to worry about other peoples standards of organic or cleanliness. Sorry for the long reply, after all we are all entitled to our opinons.
