Guest guest
Apparently i missed a lot of action over the weekend! Don and others, when you say dairy, i'm assuming you mean commerical dairy products and not Organic or goat products: Is that correct? We almost always use organic when we use dairy, that includes butter and cheese, so the occurance of Mastitis and ewww Pus is extremely low. I'm not a big drinker of milk, but yogurt is a staple of my diet as it is convenient to grab and bring to work, and provides a decent amount of nutirients to get me thru the morning. And cheese, i tried to give it up all together, but that was impossible. I try to at least limit my intake and eat organic or goat if i am going to have some. I'm hoping to go back to juicing for my morning meal once I begin working from home, but I am sure I will still use yogurt and other dairy products. So just curious why this is an issue? Guest guest
Ok Don.... the goat lady steps in...lol.. There are dairy goats.... and goats milk is very good for stomach problems... However, I have never heard of dairy sheep... SuziDon Quai <mysticalherbalist wrote: Hi Sylvia, If you are not wishing to give up dairy that is fine. As long as you are using certified organic with no hormones, rBGH, antibiotics and whatever other tricks these guys use you will be doing much better than most. Dairy still creates mucus in the body whether it is organic or not. However, you choose to go is your choice and is entirely up to you. Yogurt is very good for the body as it helps to replace the friendly bacteria back into the gut. Fermented cabbage juice will work just as well without the dairy. I really don't believe that goat or sheep are considered dairy. However, milk is milk. Just different milk from different animals. If you really want to drink milk that is fit for humans then drink human milk. Animal milk is designed for animals and not really designed for humans at all. I know, I know. It does taste good and it is a food. Where else can you get butter or cheese if you don't use milk. I too was a milk product consumer before I began educating myself and changing my diet to a more natural one. Really tough giving up the ice cream I'll tell ya. I have never been big on cheese, milk, butter, yogurt or other dairy products but love that ice cream. But everytime I eat anything dairy, milk, butter, cheese, ice cream, I get constipated big time and fill up with mucus. It is an almost instant reaction now since cleansing so much. So I probably went a little overboard here but at least you now know why. I wouldn't touch anything dairy anymore unless I personally produced it myself from my own cow that I personally fed and raised. Since that isn't about to happen this lifetime, I don't use any dairy any more. Hope I answered your question to your satisfaction. (I made sweet butter as i was afraid to let it curdle as afraid something bad would curdle with it .. dumb me..) any way I never had near the problem with that milk that i had before nor after that. Commercially treated milk is bad medicine for me, but the organic, no drugs etc, home prepared was pretty good. love... lee.
Guest guest
Dear Sylvia, I may sound like a broken record here, but as long as you stick to ONLY Certified Organic, and listen to the signals your body is telling you, you should be OK. As we get older, we just don't need as much dairy, and for most people you could or should cut it out altogether depending on your health. I've told this story many times earlier, but goat meat and goat milk and its subproducts are much better for you than beef or pork. Over 50 years ago, Doc Jensen went and lived with the 5 longest lived people on Earth. He actually lived with the King of Hunzaland for over 6 months. He discovered that they all ate meat (sparingly) and yogurt, and drank milk and keifur, and that these products all came from either goat or sheep. They did not eat either pork or beef. We're talking about peoples who live to 150 years of age. We're also talking about these meats and dairy being 100% organic and much of it raw. I think there's a lesson to be learned here. I've raised goats and I can personally tell you (and I bet Suzi will back me) that nothing tastes quite as good as raw goats milk, fresh and warm from the udder. Furthermore, fresh raw goat's cheese is second to none. A lot of it also has to do with climate and elevation. These five longest lived tribes were mountain dwellers and had winters. Those who live in the tropics would not need dairy near as much if at all to live a longer life. By all means continue your own research on this, and let us know what you find ;o) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D.505-772-5889Dr.IanShillington - Sylvia herbal remedies Monday, July 21, 2003 10:29 AM Re: [herbal remedies] Digest Number 2289 Apparently i missed a lot of action over the weekend!
