Hi Jeannie,

I found information (in German) at:

http://www.botanikwelt.de/forum/view.php3?sid=413 & kid=0

The plant is from South America (Brazil) and is of the family Eriocaulaceae

(Pipewort family).

Location: House plant for bright, also sunny location.

Watering: Constantly damp, no standing wetness.

Fertilize: Outside of the bloom time, every fourteen days, weak concentration.

I found no herbal references for it, but did for the actual pipewort in Chinese

Medicine.

I think I would treat it as a houseplant. :)

Hope that helps,

Skip

Good luck with the seeds...i am NOT good at seedlings, just buy the

plants usually...Basil is about the only seeds I have any luck with. Now

veggies are different, good track record on them...lol. Only the deer

and rabbits find them..and racoons!!! They just love my corn, peas,

okra, etc....Later, Gaye
