Guest guest
Had rotten breath for over 20 years consistently. It disappeared after taking one single cayenne pepper capsule!! It started to try for a comeback, but another capsule took care of that!! In my enthusiasm, I took more and more until I exuded the odor of cayenne from my pores and got blisters on my lips!! Took a couple of weeks without cayenne for them to heal. The capsules were double 0. Very cheap remedy. You can make a tea of 1/4 tsp. in a cup of hot water and work up to 1 tsp. strength. I haven't done much of that, but the 1/4 tsp. isn't bad at all. Best wishes. pj In my efforts to solve this problem, I had twice taken very strong antibiotics thinking maybe tonsils were the problem. No decayed teeth or gum disease. The antibiotics didn't help at all. SBC DSL - Now only $29.95 per month!
Guest guest
Sounds like you have quite an agenda to work on all those remedies! I have upper dentures and I use 50:50 water and Hydrogen peroxide (3%) to steralize them and also to brush my teeth, scrub and rinse my mouth. my favorite pharmacist told me that straight HP is too strong for mouth and can injure the tissue that it should be diluted by half. The best thing I have found to prevent gingavitis along with bleeding gums is get enough Vit C and also, very important to me, use an electric tooth brush to massage the gums, tongue and scrub teeth. Never have bleeding gums. Since the post nasal drainage effects the mouth, that would be the next thing to work on. Others here are a lot more knowledgeable in this area than i and perhaps will help you. Anit-inflamatories seem to help me in that direction, in the meantime getting rid of the things you know are detrimental. Smoking was one of my " get rid of " s and that was even a bigger payoff than the electric tooth brush. Smokers breath can get pretty bad, but the only people who will notice it are the ones facing you. When people keep backing up when you are talking to them.. you might get the hint as you can't,sure enough, smell it yourself. Souds like you do have more than enough information. Let us know what you do and how it turns out. Go for it and good luck. love... lee herbal remedies , " redpatchouli " <anahata@e...> wrote: > snip......I am discovering I have bad > breath ... >
Guest guest
Oh Hon, I am so sorry you guys split up on this account...even if only part of it. I truly believe B/B is an indication of an internal problem going on...The lack of hydrochloric acid may well be the problem, along with other issues. And it is good to use topical remedies along with internal remedies...This will give you a quick sense of security, but do work on the internal as well. I would start with a bowel cleanse of your choice, either enemas or an herbal bowel cleanse....and a fruit juice fast, orange juice and oranges are very good for internal cleansing. After 2 or 3 days, or longer, add healthy solid foods slowly back into your diet. The orange will boost your stomach acid level, and cleanse as well. Try not to include the coffee and martinis while on this fast. You may well find you no longer crave them after this cleansing. Good luck, Gaye
Guest guest
For bad breath: Tooth and Gum Formula; Enzymes; Intestinal Corrective Formula #1 & #2. Be a good idea to do a cleanse... sounds like your body needs it. Partly it might be due to dental problems (need to replace a bridge)...partly due to sinus problems (nose perpetually blocked which might explain why i didn't smell my own breath! lol)...partly due to my diet (doing atkins, lots of meat)...age (lack of hydrochloric stomach acid)...too much coffee, a passion for vodka martinis...at any rate i've done some research so here's a cut-and-paste of some natural "cures...." if anyone knows anything else to try, please pass it on before my next date (which could take awhile considering the shortage of available men in these parts)...3) Hydrogen peroxide Take two capfuls of 3% hydrogen peroxide and swish itaround your mouth and spit out. Do this every evening for a week or until you noticeimproved gum health, then only once a week for maintenance. In addition, to helpknock out the bacteria mentioned above that may be causing periodontal disease, putenough hydrogen peroxide to cover the bristles of your toothbrush in a glass and keepthe brush in it. Change the peroxide weekly.Vitamin B A deficiency of B vitamins may be the cause of your bad breath, so try taking 50 mg ofniacinimide with each meal, plus a high potency B complex tablet and 50 mg of B6 once a day. Vitamin C in divided daily doses of 1,000 to 6,000 mg will help rid the body of excess mucus andtoxins that may be the cause of bad breath. Zinc A deficiency in zinc may be another cause; take 30 to 60 mg per day. Don't take more than15 mg. of zinc for more than a week or ten days without medical supervision as high levels of zinccan interfere with the absorption of copper.A second problem may be the lack of enough hydrochloric acid, the production of which declineswith age. To remedy this, take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar before each meal. Another wayto get the necessary hydrochloric acid is to take 10 grains of betaine or pepsin tablets beforeeach meal to aid digestion.Baking soda Brushing your teeth with baking soda (or a paste made with hydrogen peroxide) willhelp reduce the acidity in your mouth and make a less-friendly environment for the bacteria togrow.Charcoal Take 5 gm. daily of activated charcoal to cleanse the stomach and intestines. Charcoalabsorbs toxins and is a natural purifier. Hydrogen peroxide The sinuses can become infected and cause bad breath. If this is yourproblem, the best treatment is using hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Use the drugstore variety, whichis three percent, dilute it 50% with water and put five to ten drops in each nostril and sniffvigorously. It may burn a little. Do this twice daily and see if it helps. If it doesn't, your sinusesare not the problem.Chlorophyll Try liquid or chlorophyll tablets which you can buy at your pharmacy. Chlorophyll hasa deodorizing effect and is used in a number of products for that purpose. See our Product. Cloves Cloves are a powerful antiseptic. Make a tea by putting 3 whole or 1/4 teaspoon groundcloves in 2 cups of hot water, and steep for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour through a finestrainer and use as a mouthwash or gargle twice a day. Fennel Fennel is another useful herb and can be used in several ways. Slowly chew the leavesand allow the saliva to build up in your mouth. Or, mix the contents of a fennel capsule withbaking soda, make into a paste, and brush your teeth, gums and tongue with it. The fluid extractof fennel can be rubbed on your gums and tongue.Myrrh Dissolving a pea-sized piece of myrrh in your mouth before bed or sucking a small piece ofcinnamon bark during the day may help relieve the problem. • It can be made into a tea. To make the tea add 2 sprigs of coarsely chopped parsley, 3 wholespice cloves, 1 teaspoon of powdered myrrh, and 1/4 teaspoon powdered goldenseal to 1 pint ofboiling water. Steep. Stir occasionally while cooling, then strain and use as a mouthwash.Parsley & mint Chewing parsley or mint leaves has been a remedy used for thousands of years. These herbs are especially good if garlic and onions are the source of your bad breath. Parsley isvery high in chlorophyll. Chew a few parsley sprigs dipped in vinegar for immediate relief. If youswallow the leaves after chewing them they will be digested and continue to provide breathfreshness for quite a while. These plants seem to reduce the production of intestinal gas bypromoting better digestion.Spirulina is a very good source of chlorophyll and can be purchased either in capsule or looseform. Start with 500 mg three times a day.
