Guest guest
Hi Wendy I have Chronic Urticaria too. I have had it for about 8 years now. I still have to take prescription medicines but I also supplement with natural (make sure and find a dr who understands the importance of this though as there can be so many triggers for Urticaria! You don't want to set yourself off!) One of the natural remedies that has helped me the most if Flax Seed Oil. It helps with the inflammation and pain caused by the sometimes enourmous swelling formt eh hives. Also, I read somewhere that the release of histamine and pro-longed anti-histamine use causes a decrease in your body's absorbtion of B12. I started taking a B12 supplement and while it didn't help the hives it helped my overall well feeling a lot! Be careful with the medicine and natural supplements though as this condition can go from bad to emergency very quickly in some cases with the wrong triggers! Have you ever shocked (anaphalactic)? Feel free to email me directly if you would like to compare notes some more! Angela Hi! I am new to the group and hope that maybe someone in this group may have some suggestions for me. My name is Wendy and I am 28 years old, married for 4 years and I have a beautiful 16 month old daughter. I have had hives now for almost 7 months and not a clue as to where they have come from. I am seeing a dermatologist who just keeps putting me on a different " cocktail " of antihistimines. I am tired and dizzy and always feel like I am walking around in a daze from all the medication I am on. Two weeks ago I decided to start taking back my body and stop harming it with all the drugs. I started on Quercetin (sorry about the spelling) and I stopped eating pretty much all dairy products. Surprisingly enough my hives have started to subside. I have been able to cut back my meds to about 1/4 of what I was taking one week ago. I was just wondering if there are any suggestions as to other natural herbs that I could take that may get rid of the itching and hives all together. I look forward to cahtting to you all. Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions that you may have. Wendy
Guest guest
Hi Wendy...sometimes you can become allergic to whatever drugs that you are on...even if you've been on them before. I have done this with antidepressants, and some antibiotics, and tetracycline. Are you taking niacin? KarlyAngela Daffron <adaffron wrote: Hi Wendy I have Chronic Urticaria too.
