" Caisse herself deleted 4 herbs from the very 1st " Original " recipe... "

Sorry, according to her own writing, this is not true but taken out of

context at a later date and has been often regarded as gospel.

She went down to four ingredients for ONLY the shots in order to remove the

protein content, but used the entire eight for the drink as she felt it was

needed to assist the body to remove and flush toxics from the body. This is

from her writing:

" This was during the period when I was working on Dr. Fisher's suggestion

that the treatment could be made effective if given by injection, rather

than in liquid form, as a tea. I started eliminating one substance and then

another; finally when the protein content was eliminated, I found that the

ingredients which stopped the malignancy growth could be given by

intermuscular injection without causing the reaction that had followed my

first experiments with injecting mice. However, I found that the ingredients

removed from the injection formula, which reduced growth of cancer, were

necessary to the treatment. These apparently carried off destroyed tissue

and infections thrown off by the malignancy.

By giving the intermuscular injection in the forearm, to destroy the mass of

the malignant cells, and giving the medicine orally to purify the blood, I

got quicker results than when the medicine was all given orally, which was

my original treatments until Dr. Fisher suggested further experiments and

developing an injection that could be given without reaction. " (Rene M.

Caisse, R.N.)

The Obijiwe (sp?) indian medicine man Rene discussed this formula with gave her the 8-herb recipe. The 4-herb recipe was the oral tea she made and used to cure countless. The injections were a protein modified form of that decoction. Here is an excerpt:

he "old medicine man" recipe was 8 herbs -- the 4 essiac herbs, periwinkle, red clover and watercress. Rene Caisse left no written record of the 8th herb. According to Essiac Essentials, in the early 1920's while working with Dr. Fisher, Rene "tested decoctions of each herb individually until the eight original herbs were gradually modified down to the four herbs in the recipe as we know it today, i.e., Burdock root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm inner bark and Turkey rhubarb root."
