Guest guest
Pam, I just recently stopped drinking coffee myself. I've been drinking Yerba Mate instead, and find it's effects much more pleasant than coffee's, although it does still give me a lift. From what I've read about it, it is full of nutrients. One of the benefits I've found is that I don't get nearly so hungry when I drink it, probably because of all the nutrients. I'll post some links below to some of what I've read about it. The first batch I got at the local health food store, for $8.69 for 1/2 pound. What I'm using now is from herbalcom.com, for $5.15 for a whole pound! It differs somewhat in taste from what I got at the store, but I think I like it better actually. Here are some links I found on the health benefits of Yerba Mate: http://www.yerba-mate.com/health.htm http://www.noborders.net/mate/health.html http://www.herbcom.com/yerbamate.htm Hope that helps!
