Sadly all this is starting to sound more and more like what my DH has been saying to me all along.

I usually laugh at him and tell him he sounds like Mel Gibson from the Conspiracy Theory but honestly, this is all ringing too true.

By not allowing us access or restricting use of herbs and other natural remedies, the Govt would have better controll over us. I mean heck if we are all sick and in the Doctors office, we are just greasing those wheels of money changing hands into the hands of those who dont need it and not to mention that we are all then too sick to fight back.

I will be working on list of stores etc to take this information to, tonight, with my family. Even though we will not be in California much longer, it is up to all of us, in all countries to stand up for our GOD GIVEN rights to use the plants and herbs he put here for us.

Enlighten or educate as many people as you can. We try, with some sucess, and now we must all try in order to preserve our rights.

What I find ironic is the abortion tag line of "Keep your laws off mybody". Why does it only apply to women and only when they are pregnant? The government is all for "personal freedom" when it doesn't affecttheir bottom line and they can't tax herbs and midwifes promote personalfreedom, we can't have that now can we.gayekyc1 [gayekyc1] Wednesday, July 16, 2003 10:16 AMherbal remedies Subject: RE: [herbal remedies] LaurenLOL....The planets must be in BIG oppostion lately....My reply (post)was for Angel, (I think???)...LOL. I try not to leave the attachedmessage for space sake, and I should have changed the subject line!! Nevertheless.........This is beginning to seem more like a communistcountry, rather than a free

country?!@#$Government overstepped its bounderies in my opinion a LONG time ago!!!One of the first things that really opened my eyes was when Midwiveswere outlawed in some states...This was in the mid to late 70's to thebest of my recollection... Where will we go? What can we do? If we don't sign these petitions likeDoc sent, and others that are similar we are going to have even more tocontend with...Certain herbs have even been questioned by the FDA as tothere safety...The HERBS will be outlawed, but the life endangeringDRUGS will just have a Warning Label...Here I go again...preaching...lol. GayeFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any naturalremedy. 3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physicianand to prescribe for your own health.

Sylvia, I can only remember two of the herbs right off that has been

considered by the FDA as (dangerous??!!) LOL. These are Comfrey and

Lobelia. If you or anyone else knows of others please post......I would

add that we all need to PLANT these, to have for our needs and future

generations to use...Even if these are not banned it is still a good

idea to plant them ourselves. Everytime I find an herb at the nursery I

buy a few & plant them...Not many types of medicinal herbs in my area

though, I've considered mail order seeds, but I haven't had much luck

with seeds of any kind in my area. Anyway this is just one way of

fighting back. Like you said---pass the word!! Gaye
