Upon searching, she has the classic signs of tonsillitis with the adenoids causing the headache, nausea and ear pain. Of course the allopathic mds don't have a clue as usual-which is probably good, as they aren't rushing in to cut them out! She eats well usually (whole/organic foods). She takes immune boosting herbs and such as well. (echinacea, garlic, vit C, a multi vit, chlorophyll)She also had mono about 15 months ago (just for a bit of history). We are wondering what else to do to boost her immune system more and what we can do to heal these tonsils and adenoids so that we can avoid surgery and get her healthy (and so she can stay healthy)? Guest guest
Hi Amanda, Get her drinking Echinecea tea. At least 3 cups per day. Or better yet, do a tincture if you have it, 1 dropperful 3 times per day. Will work much quicker than the herbs. Get garlic down her and cayenne too. Give her a nice hot epsom salt bath and while she is in it soaking have her drink some camomile tea, sage tea, or yarrow tea. This will induce sweating big time which will help in breaking the fever. The epsom salts will assist in removing toxins from the body. As soon as you can, get her on a cleansing fast that will help to get rid of stagnant lymph. The one I posted in the files will be an excellent one for her to do. Now, does she exercise regularly? Things to look for with the lymph system is #1 keeping the lymph moving and #2 is there any stoppage anywhere? In women of all ages, tight fitting bras are the leading cause of lymph stoppage. They keep the lymph in the breast tissue from moving out. This can create all kinds of problems. Dry skin brushing and massage will greatly help in getting the lymph moving. Doing the organic apple juice or cider fast will help in getting rid of lots of yucky lymph from the body and replacing it with new. I don't know how much help I was but I do hope some of it helps ya. Guest guest
Get her on the Total Nutrition every day. Mix up some Total Tonic. Use the left over ginger root as a tea for nausea. if needed. Have her gargle with warm salt water several times a day, it will relieve pain and heal the throat. There is a ear oil recipe in the files as well. Give her a hug from me :-) Janet - earthmothergypsy herbal remedies Thursday, July 17, 2003 11:13 AM [herbal remedies] Need help with throat/tonsil/adnoid issues in teens My 17yr old is having issues with recurrent ear pain (fluid build up behind them-no infection), sore throats, high fever (104 degrees).
