if people react like this during a full moon - then now you should understand why you do your tinctures on the full moon.

Welllllllllllll, this has been an interesting day on the ole HR list, and that's for sure.

As usual, Don and Suzi did an excellent job in keeping it down to a dull roar LOL ;o) These guys are tops!!!

It seems as if Sunshine left in a black cloud (pun intended), and SexyWhiteTigress has gone back to her . . . before I had a chance to explain my "balderdash" statement. Oh well, it is her loss, as she could have learned something about her condition if she'd had a little patience.

I'd like to point out right up front, that none of us "owes" our help. Neither I, nor Suzi, nor Don, nor any other Naturopathic herbalist on this list have done anything that would cause us to propitiate. We help because we enjoy doing so. We love to help others. But, we don't "owe" this help. It's not as if new people have to come on this list with their hat in their hands. It's not that way at all. But, I do expect new people to have a little tenacity in getting their questions answered. This is a very busy list. At this moment with the month only half over, we have had 1070 posts. That is 1070 posts in 15 days. That's 71.3 posts a day which is an awesome volume. There are currently 1471 members (only 1456 this morning), with people coming and going all the time. This is one of the busiest lists on and without doubt the largest Herbal Holistic list they have by a few hundred and we're growing by leaps and bounds on a daily basis. Before today, the last time I actually looked, there were only 1370 members and we were still the largest even then. If you take a look at our HR home page, the first five words that people see when they sign up is: "This list is very active..." What I'm trying to say here, is that no one will get turned away if they just have a little patience and a little respect.

Suzi is great at answering up on most problems, and when she doesn't know the answer, she has gone out of her way many times and sent me a private email just to get my attention so that I can answer up on it. Don has been awesome in doing research on a question just to "help" someone who has some esoteric disease that no one else knows anything about. They both know (and so do most old timers) that my schedule is hellacious, but I get on whenever I can to lighten the load and do my part.

And why do we do this??? We do it because we CARE!!! We also have an awesome amount of fun and enjoy ourselves tremendously at the same time, but I'd have to say our basic motivation is CARING. And I'd be willing to bet that this is the motivation of every pro herbalist on list.

But, we don't owe this. Not one bit. We do it because we want to, not because we have to. No one has to put up with bad manners IF THEY DON'T WISH TO regardless of the condition of the newbie. IF THEY WISH TO BE TOLERANT OF BAD MANNERS, IT IS THEIR INDIVIDUAL CHOICE and not one I'd enforce. Had both of the above people had a little patience and shown a little respect, they would have got their questions answered to their hearts content. All of you who have been here a while know this.

Part of the purpose of this list is to get rid of "bad" data, and false information (see paragraph 3 on the home page { & below}). There are enough lies in allopathic circles. I can unequivocably say that when I see bad data, I'm going to jump on it with both feet, like a ton of bricks, and no apologies. If I hurt someone's feelings, in the process, welllllllllllll "given the chance", I'll apologize for it (psychs excepted:), as I certainly do not wish to create that kind of effect, and I certainly don't intend to.

Saying that echinacea is "bad" for asthmatics is ridiculous. It is not only untrue, it is bad and false data. If she had hung around and given me a chance to answer up, I would have referred her to the article in the files called "The Dwindling Spiral of Disease" which explains why a person gets asthma in the first place. Asthma is a piece of cake to handle. Anyone can rid themselves of this disease permanently if they so wish. Furthermore, anyone who has a "supposed" allergy to echinacea, actually needs it, but in minute quantities, in order to detox that which the echinacea is creating such a violent reaction to. I have proven this so many times in actual clinical tests, that I get tired of saying it. Maybe I need to write a full article on the subject??? The same goes for supposed allergic reactions to garlic, cayenne, and any other herb out there. If you get a violent reaction to any herb, boyyyyyyy, you'd better keep taking it (but in much smaller quantities if you don't want to be too uncomfortable), and you'll find that you'll quickly blow the physical condition that that reaction is tied to. Am I making any sense here??? I sure hope so. If anyone doesn't get this, then puleeeeese be specific about what exactly you don't get, and I'll elaborate as best I can.

In closing, I'd like to leave y'all with the opening 4 paragraphs of our home page:

"This List is very active and has a complete set of files on most Herbal Remedies, their formula and preparation. The list is for those who are interested in HEALING using "HERBAL REMEDIES", NUTRITION", & ; "ALL NATURAL METHODS" including "LAUGHTER". It is a forum whereby people with any kind of physical problem can get their questions answered, and thereby take full responsiblility for their own health using Naturopathic methods. The Medical Profession has totally betrayed our trust by addressing only SYMPTOMS and specializing in Disease Management not Cures! Furthermore, there is a tremendous amount of false data, and confusion in the Natural Health Industry, for it has been covertly infiltrated by the giant Pharmaceuticals, and one of the main purposes of the list is to eradicate the bad information and promote tried and true solutions that address the true Cause of illness and that work. You are responsible for the condition you are in, good or bad. You are where you are today because of decisions you made in the past. Where you will be in the future and what shape you find yourself in, is completely dependant upon the Spiritual, Mental, and Physical decisions you make today".

Much love,

It's being worked on Don.

Sorry for the delay.

One of the reasons I am sometimes unavailable ;o)

A major part that needs to be completed is my book, and that will not be ready for publishing until the middle of next year.

I'm hoping it will be the core of the program.

Love,

Doc

Re: [herbal remedies] Sunshine & Her Place In The World.

God I love this list and every one on it. This list has afforded me more in one year than all the books and schooling I have had in 48 years. I love doing what I do, I enjoy helping others to learn to help themselves. I enjoy helping others to see that educating themselves will give them the knowledge to empower themselves and take charge of their own health and lives. My goal is to obtain my "shingle" as a naturopath (DOC? HELLO DOC? ARE WE GETTING ANY CLOSER YET?) lol . I do know that this is the path I am supposed to follow. Leave this list? Not on your life. This list is great, Doc is great, Suzi, Lisa, Janet, and all the other mod's are just incredible. The others on this list are just as wonderful with their input, thoughts, arguements, and opinions. No, none of us are perfect. I don't think any of us even pretend to be. We just love to help and be helped in kind.

I feel really bad for those people who cannot see that they can be in charge of their own lives. They are unhappy people and are the ones who do not remain on this list very long. I really love hearing the good reports that others have when they heal themselves or at least begin to work towards that goal. I will go out of my way to help anyone who honestly asks for and wants help. Having worked my way up from below the bottom of the barrel, so to speak, in the last three years, I do know how very difficult it can be to confront taking control of ones life and turning it completely around and healing yourself. Therefore, I work hard at being understanding and compassionate towards others.

Okay, enough said I guess. This is the best list I have ever seen yet. Quite a bit of work at times and Suzi really does not get enough recognition considering she does around 3/4's of the handling on this list. So Great job Suzi and great job to all the mod's and Doc. Also wish to thank each and everyone on this list for making it what it is today. Really outstanding.

Welllllllllllll, this has been an interesting day on the ole HR list, and that's for sure.

As usual, Don and Suzi did an excellent job in keeping it down to a dull roar LOL ;o) These guys are tops!!!Federal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2. If you are pregnant, consult your physician before using any natural remedy. 3. The Constitution guarantees you the right to be your own physician and toprescribe for your own health. We are not medical doctors although MDs are welcome to post here as long as they behave themselves. Any opinions put forth by the list members are exactly that, and any person following the advice of anyone posting here does so at their own risk. It is up to you to educate yourself. By accepting advice or products from list members, you are agreeing to be fully responsible for your own health, and hold the List Owner and members free of any liability.
