Guest guest
Forgot to add you might also try St.. Johns Wort....St Johns Wort has been known as a great nervin to regenerate nerve tissue, alleviate winter blues and stabilize the mood. It has also been used in traditional medicine for nerve problems of all kinds including neuralgia, tics and tremors, depression and anxiety attacks. Guest guest
Mary Anne, Xanax is a controlled drug, highly addictive, etc. my Mother has been on this for over 15 yrs...Dr. put her on it for stomach and esophagus spasms, it is a hard drug to get off of. I can't remember all the details, but it's worth looking it up. You definitely want to get off of it now, before you get hooked on it. The Dr. tried to get her off, but her system wouldn't accept any other type of nerve medicine. Do you drink coffee, tea, colas, diet pills? You don't have to answer, just know these things can contribute to tremors, shaking, bad nerves in general. Is just your hands affected? Two herbs I know of and have used for nervousness, stress, anxiety, yes even to the point of shaking, is Valerian capsules and Lobelia extract. Valerian does taste and smell horrible, but it works. Follow directions. Also hot & cold applications, this will be easy if it is just your hands. Have two bowls of water one hot one cold. Dip your hands in hot, for 3 minutes, then dip in the cold for 1/2 to 1 minute, back & forth, about six times, 3-4 times a day. Do you have someone who could massage your hands and wrists afterwards? This would improve circulation, which is what this is about. And it wouldn't hurt to treat your whole body along with the hand treatments. Massages, Take a warm bath and rub vigorously afterwards, to improve overall circulation. Lastly don't just depend on a nerve tonic to do the job alone, treat your whole system. A simple cleanse would be good for starters. along with the above suggestions. Guest guest
MaryAnne, I would really suggest making that free phone call to Doc... It is in the files under free call.. I know he will know how to get to the root of what is causing this.. SuziMaryAnne <pokergirl212000 wrote: I have had tremors in my hands since adolesence or at least thats when I began to notice them. My mother also has these same tremors, she always thought they were do to her drinking a lot of coffee when she was younger and having babies. I was first diagnosed with tremors and mild palsy when I was 18. I was checked for Parkinson's, MD and MS all results were negative. I was put on Lorazapate? Xanax, and other medications and the medications never helped and the doctor was charging me $60 a visit, I was in and out in less than 5 minutes, basically all he did was give me a prescription that was not working so after about 5 years of this I quit going. I haven't seen a doctor for them since. I am 37 now and they seem to be getting worse and people are noticing them. I cannot hide them any longer. I have never tried St. John Wort. Last month I bought some Valerian 100mg with Melatonin 3mg, Passion Flower 50mg, Hops 75mg, Scullcap75mg, Chamomile75mg, GABA 25mg, L-Taurine 50mg, Magnesium 30mg, and Calcium 40mg. This is very helpful at bedtime but not much help during the day as it makes me sleep. Also I read that Valerian should not be takin long term. I really need a long term solution and appreciate your help. I will check on the St. John Wort. Thanks for the advice.
