As for fresh Echinacea root, that I cannot answer. Most likely if you want it fresh you are going to have to go and dig it yourself. Otherwise, you will have to settle for dried root which is usually powdered buy you may find cut and sifted. Now it is possible that someone else on this list may have some knowledge in this area that I am lacking. As for your TT, if it didn't turn green then you are okay. If it is time to press it then you want to press it to remove the solid material leaving you with the tonic to bottle and store away for when needed or to be used everyday. Use the plant material in your compost heap.
