What is the condition of the soil where the lemon tree is??? How was the peel dried??? What was the temperature of the drying process??? Get the idea??? There are too many variables involved which would determine the Vitamin C content. The main thing to consider is not to get too significant about this. We are not dealing with rocket science here. One teaspoon of lemon peel powder from an organic lemon which was not heated above 105*F in the drying process may only give you 125 Mg of Vitamin C, but this is Vitamin C "COMPLEX" which has Rutin, Bioflavinoids, Pectin, etc in their proper amounts with the matrix intact. From a Vitamin C viewpoint, this would be better for you than 1,000 Mg of straight Ascorbic Acid even though the C content is higher. Get the idea??? One should never get tooooo significant about natural healing. Leave that up to the Medicos as they specialize in it LOL ;o) This is one of the Allopathic traps. Oooooo, how many Mg are in that formula??? Are you getting enough??? Are you getting toooo much??? You better be careful (worry, worry, worry) You don't want to make a mistake. Are you sure there isn't too much dihydrous oxide in that formula??? (dihydrous oxide = water ;o) You better go to a specialist as you are toooo dumb to know what is good for you. Etc. etc. ad nauseum. This is alllllllllllllllll, BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have NEVER heard of anyone hurting themselves with natural healing. You would really have to go out of your way to do so. I mean, you'd have to be dumber than a bag of hammers and have a planned campaign to hurt yourself with natural healing to do any serious damage. There's just toooooooooo many natural safeguards against doing so. Sooooooooo, let's just not get to significant about this. If you're looking for a good daily dosage of Vit C Complex, take a teaspoon of Lemon Peel Powder and you'll do great. Wake up some morning in a really dumb, blonde, mood and accidentally take one teaspoon ten times in a row because you forgot you took it the other nine times, wellllllllllll, OK you might get a little diarrhea and turn on a small detox, but you won't do any serious damage whatsoever. No need to beat a dead horse, you got the picture. ) Much love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D. 505-772-5889 Dr.IanShillington Suzanne Nottmeier [suziesgoats]Tuesday, June 10, 2003 8:24 AMherbal remedies[herbal remedies] Lemon Peel/Vit C Ok this may be a Doc question.... what is the milligrams in say a teaspoon of lemon peel.... I was just asked and I don't know.... My friend is taking Emergen-C or something like that for her sinus and allergies.... she can hardly talk today... She is allergic to dust and dog hair... and something else... anyway I was telling her about Total tonic as she also has sinus attacks... and then she mentioned this "C" stuff... so I said Lemon Peel would be better.... she asked about the milligrams as in how much to take... so how do you measure it ? I usually take a teaspoon but as to the equivalents....????? SuziFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Natural methods can sometimes backfire. 2.
