Guest guest
Irene, There's obviously no such thing as a perfect diet, but if I had to answer your questions I'd say that you can't go wrong with a whole foods diet, meaning nothing refined, nothing GMO, no sugar, and organic. Let me know if you'd like more info. ILANA xoxo Irene72380 wrote: I know that i have to change my diet, but when i walk into the store i just don't know what i should get. Guest guest
According to Adelle Davis, one of the most "perfect" diets consists of a meal that contains both a legume and a grain (ie. Beans and rice). Where she was missing the boat was that these need to be raw, organic, and "SPROUTED" and only eaten cooked some of the time. Supposedly, you have a perfect protein, carb, fat combination with this regimen. At least eat a salad every night for your evening meal that has some sprouted beans and sprouted grains in them before you eat the main course. This will go a long way in putting the proper enzymes into your body which will handle the rest. Remember to do everything on a gradient if you are planning on going into a major detox. The safest and most effective way to do a major detox is to do them on a gradient (one step at a time, while increasing dosages). It's not as if you'll kill yourself by throwing the body into one of these full tilt, but why go through hell if you don't have to. Just adding a large healthy organic salad into the evening meal before you eat the main course is a good way to start. The next thing you know the main course gets smaller and smaller and the salads get bigger ;o) Love, Doc Ian "Doc" Shillington N.D. 505-772-5889 Dr.IanShillington Irene72380 [irene72380]Monday, June 09, 2003 8:25 AMherbal remedies Subject: [herbal remedies] the perfect diet I know that i have to change my diet, but when i walk into the store i just don't know what i should get. Guest guest
Irene, Then start with what you can handle and phase in a bit at a time. Study the different approaches and find the one that best suits you and your situation. But just as a point of interest, if you live in a temperate climate like I do with cold winters you're going to find it very hard to stay warm and energized in the winter if all you're eating is raw foods. Start with Doc's suggestion of a big salad a day. If you can't do organic for the time being then don't worry about that and just concentrate on the types of food you're eating.
