Guest guest
Okay this is really long list of herbs. I couldnt find any thing negative on echinacea so I must have been thinking since it wasnt good for auto immune disorders because of increasing red blood cells ... my mistake, sorry! Below is some VERY good anti-HIV herbs!!! I will send supplements out later if you want. ---------------- The first list of herbs is from herbal remedies by asa hershoff n.d. and andrea rotelli, nd. They are grea tpeople I always go to their book for advice! 3 stars is the best, second is good. Astragalus*** is supposed to be excellent. It is my favorite immune booster. Greatly extends life span of people with aids in one study. In second stage of clinical aids research study. ------------------------- James Duke says in his book The green pharmacy about the following. You can his book for free, completely, without any sign ups either, at mothernature.com They have 21 online free rotale books there, inclduing herbs for health and healing from kathi keville which is a top favorite of mine also. Licorise (the glycyrrhizin in it) can inhibit a # of processes involved in viral replication, such as ability to prentare host cells and change their genetic matieral. In studies there are indications that this chemical inhibits the growth of hiv in a tube. A few clinical trials have also created good results. In one study with people with HIV but without aids symptoms, japan scientists claim that the chemical delayed the appearance of the symptoms related to HIV. In a nother report those with hemophilia who had hiv from blood transfusions were given glycyrrhizin for more than a month. The amt of virus in their blood decreases considerably, suggestiong it may inhibit replication of the virus in some people. It also helps reduce side effects of the treatment AZT. Oregano - many aids deaths come from a process known as oxidative stress acording to new york aids researched howard greenspan, md. His suggestion is to load up on the antioxidants and oregano is a great one. St Johns - Hypericin and pseudohypericin have shown to be effective against active HIV,a t least in the test tube. A mix of Hypericin and and several derivatives has been patented as a treatment for cytomegalovirus infection, one of the many oppurtunist infections that can strike those with aids. He also lists echincea as being helpful, although not as helpful as some herbs he mentions. 3 leaves means best, 2 means good. Ech gets 2 leaves. He also mentions black eyed susan, blessed thistle, burdock, astagalus, aloe, garlic, hyssop, onion, pear, elderberry, ev. primrose, iceland moss, etc. - Earl Mindell says in the herb bible, which I didnt really like, that acemannan, a compund derived from aloe, has been shown to increase disease-fighting immune cells in mice whose immune systems had been comprimised by exposure to radiation. Other studies suggest that this chemical may enhance the ffect of AZT and acyclovir in blocking the spread of the AIDS virus. -Erin
