" Wolff (Wolfe)-Parkinson-White (WPW) is a very rare cause of sudden

death. It results from an additional electrical connection between

the atria (upper chambers of the heart) and the ventricles (lower

chambers of the heart). "

Well, I can tell you that I have never even heard of it. I just did

a search and WOW, that sounds really serious and quite possibly life

threatening. This definitely needs the attention of a qualified

herbalist/naturopath...perhaps calling Doc would be the answer there.

I hate to say it, but without being under the direct supervision of

a naturopath, your friend may have no other recourse but to seek

medical attention in case of emergency. As far as I know, at least

in Pennsylvania, they have to treat a person in emergent cases with

or without insurance, at least until stablized and out of danger.

I'm pretty sure it is the law in most if not all states (assuming of

course you are in the states). They cannot turn anybody away. What

good is worrying about the cost if you're not alive to enjoy saving

all that money?

What you may be looking for right now is some sort of preventative

remedy. But if something goes seriously wrong....seek a professional.

Check the files. I believe there is some good info on cayenne being

good for the heart. Other than that, I am not qualified to give any

other advice on this. I wish I could help more....I'm sure other

members will come up with something better than I can offer.

Best of luck to your friend.

with the rapid heart rates. Medications may be able to control the

occurrence of any rapid heart rates. However, some people are not

able to tolerate these medications. In addition, very fast heart

rates and severe symptoms (such as loss of consciousness) may

persist despite the use of medications. A procedure known as

catheter ablation can be used to destroy the abnormal pathway, and

prevent the rapid heart rates associated with the abnormal pathway.

Not having researched this disease yet, my first thought is cayenne... but I'll have to do some reading on this disease.

Hello all!

I have a friend that is suffering from Wolf Parkinson White. He has pains that make him feel like he's having a heart attack, shortness of breath, dizzyness, racing irregular heart. He has no insurance and can't, at this point, seek further treatment and we discussed a possible alternative treatment. He is open to trying anything. His symptoms come on approximately twice a week and it seems to me that it could be stress triggered with what's going on in his life.

I would appreciate any comments and thoughts anyone has on this . i was thinking an herbal treatment involving a heart strengthener and a nerve soother would help. I have provided a little back ground on the condition below.

Thanking you in advance,Tamara

Wolf-parkinson-white is an abnormality of the conducting system of the heart that can sometimes cause abnormally rapid heartbeats to come on suddenly. There is a spectrum of the disease - some people never have symptoms, and some have severe symptoms that require treatment with medication and/or catheter based treatment of the heart.

Treatment of WPW is based on the severity of symptoms experienced with the rapid heart rates. Medications may be able to control the occurrence of any rapid heart rates. However, some people are not able to tolerate these medications. In addition, very fast heart rates and severe symptoms (such as loss of consciousness) may persist despite the use of medications. A procedure known as catheter ablation can be used to destroy the abnormal pathway, and prevent the rapid heart rates associated with the abnormal pathway.
