Guest guest
This question is not related to anything that happened now or even recently so nothing can be done. I am just wondering your advice on something. When I was three I was laying on the bed while my older sister and her friend were jumping up and down on it. They were 5 but both well...overweight is the nice word. One of them or both of them jumped on my neck. My mom brought me to the ER and they checked me out and said I was fine. But my mom said eventually my hair slowly starting falling out. I didnt go completely bald dont worry. And then I had a grand mal siezure (or mal grande whatever). She also said either the right or left side of my body would turn red ( I believe the color was red and not blue). She said the whole side of the body from head to toe would do this and the drs didnt know what to say. She said she read somewhere that can also be a sign of childhood migraine. Also - I had something start that is strange, they called it a motor tick for lack of better word but it has nothing to do with any kind of impulse/reaction on the body - in otherwords, nothing twitches lol. I had mental problems growing up that left me when I was 18 or 19. My mom always thought it could be from front lobal brain damage as everything I eventually developed can be a result of that pretty much. She could never get another doc to say it ws possible as she thinks they may have been wanting to avoid a lawsuit. Anothing thing that happened was she was given a c section for me. Her first baby needed it and sicne they gave her a c section the first time they did when delivering me also even though she wanted it the regular way. I was 2 weeks early and 6 lbs but healthy. Anyway, they cut my head when cutting her stomach open. It was'nt bad but it was also in the front lobal area where a lot of the neurological brain waves were. They told her not to worry but with how paranoid they are with supporting a babys neck and not touching the soft spot that cutting in that area, even a small cut, before the baby has even started breathing on its own may cause some problems. The only thing wrong with me as a baby was no sleeping at all really, like 3 hrs a night/day lol, and ear infections. Um....I also had a lot of high fevers real easy. But I am looking more towards the neck thing since I didnt have problems per se before that, and all problems (well, not all, but the early childhood ones) started right after. When problems advanced when I was a kid my parents had tests done on me for like a year and even had to sell their truck to make payments but the docs came back with nothing. I know that 20 years ago there werent many advancements and such. Thanks! Erin

Guest guest
I believe in chiropractry 100%, as does my husband. It just makes sense. If your spine is compressing your nerves you can have all sorts of troubles. ILANA xoxo wyverndance wrote: Erin, Have you every been to see a chiropractor? I was skeptical about going to one until I started and now I can't say enough good things about them. All of the nerves in the body connect through the spinal cord and run up your neck and nerve damage caused by that type of damage to the neck can have all sorts of weird and seemingly unrelated symptoms. If you've never been, then it's quite likely you still have a degree of misalignment in your neck and your body has just learned to work around it over time. Heck.. if your neck was hurt badly enough it's entirely possible that it slowed blood flow to the brain which may have caused damage. Just a possibility. Guest guest
Erin, If you decide to go, look for a chiropractor that takes x-rays before they start working. I have highly abnormal bone structure which (through a touch and visual examination) makes it seem as if my spine curves in the opposite direction of what it really does. If the doctor didn't take x-rays and see that they would have been adjusting me into worse and worse shape over time. Also, you might have a school of chiropratic in your area where you can get discounted treatment. And if your insurance doesn't cover it, it normally is deductible off your taxes. Check with a tax person on that.
