For salves: 1 cup olive oil1 oz calendula 1 oz. beeswax3 vitamin E gelcaps - 400 IU each (or equivalent liquid E)Combine oil with calendula in a stainless steel pot. Place in 200degree oven for 3 hours. Strain through cheesecloth. Put back into pot andheat. Add beeswax and heat until melted over low heat. Do not allow the wax toburn. Puncture the gelcaps and squeeze the contents into the mixture. Pour intoglass container(s). When it cools, it should be a light green color and isready to use. OR you can use a slow cooker for 4-6 hours. This is a basic formula... You can even add St Johns Wort to this... say 1/2 oz or so of each.... Calendula " :. A lotion made from the flowers is most useful for sprains and wounds, Passion flower - calming and sedative.. used in tea.St. John's Wort - is actually an anti-inflamatory.
