Can I use this plant dry as well as fresh in a tea? Also how often do I drink the tea, 2 or 3 cups a day maybe, and for how long? Anybody know? Thanks a bunch in advance.

I use it dry and I tincture it but also can be used a tea I believe. As for how often to use the tea I am not sure as I have not used it this way. If someone here doesnt know off hand I could see if my book mentions it later

Hi all, I'm new here and look forward to the exchange of info.

As for cleavers, I tincture mine fresh, enough for the year. You can

dry the plant, best when in flower, and I would suggest using four

tsps. of the dry plant in a tea of two glasses water (16-20 ozs.).Sip

this throughout the day. Cleavers is a pot herb and falls under the

Doctrine of Simples, meaning you can consume a lot for a long time.

Use it as you need it(remember to hydrate), no reported adverse

effects. Great for the skin!

For lymphatics I agree on the poke, it does wonders. I like to use a

tincture of DRIED poke root with the cleavers. The drying process

breaks down some of the toxins, these are not essential for draining

the lymphatics and makes the poke a lot easier on the system. Wild

Indigo, Anjellica and Blue flag also can be beneficial.

Hope this helps,

" Hawk "
