treatment of a sty

Here is an old remedy that my great aunt used to use... I cannot attest if it works or not as I never had a sty to try it... but she swore by it.... if you try it let me know if it works...

If you have a sty on your eye, rub a gold ring across the sty a few times and it will stop the pain right away. And.. the sty will go away!

I remember it had to be real gold...

Do you know if that is safe to use near an eye? I have to go to the

store today anyway, so I can pick some up. I know it works great on

bee stings.
